Abstract: Existing research establishes a relationship between religiosity and socioeconomic status but fails to consider this variation in generations. This project aims explore the difference in how generations vary in the way they view the importance of religion and what role socioeconomic factors such as race, education and income play in the relationship. Using data from a national random sample this project analyzes the findings and finds that socioeconomic variants do play a role in religion ideology but this does not impact generationally.
