Abstract: This research examines the relationship between parental income and the financial well-being of their children in adulthood. While the literature addresses this question from various perspectives, there is a general consensus that higher parental income correlates with improved financial well-being and life outcomes for their children (Roll et al, 2021). This relationship is unsurprising, as higher parental income often provides access to resources that better prepare children for future opportunities, such as quality after-school programs, better neighborhoods, and superior schooling. This study extends the analysis by exploring whether differences in financial well-being vary by gender and whether parental education serves as a potential confounder.
